What is the Kiwi Summer? This is the home page of the Kiwi Summer Adventure Races. We ran a series of experimental adventure races in previously unexplored areas of the central North Island in the summer of 2007/2008.
Adventure racing is a sport where teams complete a challenging journey travelling by foot, bike and kayak (in our race this means white water kayak or tube - with a handicap for the kayaks). Teams work together, navigating through interesting and beautiful environments including bush, mountains and coastlines.
