Map:Brothers Farm - Terrain - open rolling Taranaki farmland with areas of building detail

Afternoon Event (Event 2):
Map: Audrey Gale - Terrain - open parkland and forested gully/spur

Social Event:
Post event BBQ at Audrey Gale - Swim in the cool clear pool of the Waiwhakaiho River

Tuesday 29th December

Morning Event (Event 3):
Map: Brooklands - Terrain - track network, open parkland, gardens, forested areas & building detail

Afternoon Event (Event 4):
Map: Pukekura Park - Terrain - track network, open parkland and forested areas on gully spur

Social Event:
Lights and Live music in the park

Wednesday 30th December

Morning Event (Event 5):
Map: Hoaketanga east - Terrain - open park area though intricate in detail some buildings, native & plantation areas

Afternoon Event (Event 6):
Map: Hoaketanga west - Terrain - open park area though intricate in buildings detail plus some native & plantation areas

Social Event:
Quiz Night

Thursday 31st December

Day Event (Event 7) The Turkey Traverse:
Course 1 - 6 Orienteering Maps plus - 21k - Some farmland, native, plantation, parkland, track networks and sand dunes

Course 2 - 4 Orienteering maps plus - 13k - A little farmland, native, plantation, parkland, track networks and sand dunes

Course 3 - 3 Orienteering maps - 8k - Some parkland, track networks a bit of native, plantation and sand dunes

A cool swim in the Tasman Sea before heading off to the New Year Party

Courses

Course 1:

Recommended for: M/W Elite, M/W Junior Elite (17-20), M40-49

Course 2:

Recommended for: M50+, W40+, M/W14-16

Course 3:

Recommended for: M/W14-, M/W Open B

Please note: As there is no white course it is recommended that a parent/guardian/friend follow young/very novice orienteers on Course 3
